Woolman Adventures: In the Beginning

The flight was long. I watched a mock documentary film about Love which was actually really awsome. It had that guy from Juno in it so it was guaranteed to be great anyway.
In LAX, after getting through the adrenaline rush (not a good one) in customs, a guy called Hank had decided I looked bored and talked to me about, well, himself. He was a highly paid / payed ?? lawyer so I was actually able to make some sort of intellegent conversation! He was obviously very proud of his accomplishments.
I couldn't help thinking, while he spoke, that his wierdly long but perfectly trimmed moutashe hair would get in his way. He was a lawyer on the Three Mile Island case in 1979. Three Mile Island is a Nuclear Generating Station in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania near Harrisburg, it is dubbed the most significant accident in the history of American commercial nuclear power generating industry. He was attempting to defend the power plant beacuse a ridiculous amount of people triedc to claim compensation for it when no radiation was detected more than 10 yds away from the plant. The amount of dangerous chemicals released was the size of a little finger nail. Hank had ensured no money was claimed - wether for better or worse I am not sure.
Public reaction to the event was probably influenced by the release of a movie called The China Syndrome 12 days before hand, depicting an accident at a nuclear reactor.
Hank gave me his business card and told me to look him up if i was every in Boston. On the back of it  he wrote 7I0 and said why are there 710 reasons why Gerorge Bush invaded Iraq. . . OIL.

Stayed at Kathy's over night which was nice but i woke up in the middle of the night wide awake my body clock will have to adjust. I got on really well with her twin sons Mark and Keith.

Woke up early in order to head to campus, it was well nerve racking walking into the dining hall with everyone already there. On our campus tour with Coleman ( JON WATTS the rapping Quaker's brother) we were warned to beware of bob cats mountain Lions Bears and Rattle Snakes. There are 11 students and 8 interns and a lot of staff. Also, many little people (i.e. babies) they are sooooo cute!      love xx
